Career Academy Students Engage with Employers at Career Fair The Atlantis Career Academies hosted a Career Fair on Friday, April 26th, bringing 26 industry partners from Fall River and the South Coast onto campus for a morning of career exploration and networking. On May 10th, the Career Academies will host the first Atlantis Charter High School Blood Drive for the American Red Cross. Atlantis senior Ayla Roias Named a Finalist for Youth of the Year Upper School Principal Dan Bossolt with Ayla Roias On Thursday, March 21, Atlantis senior Ayla Roias and eight other high school seniors from Fall River schools were recognized during a ceremony at Durfee’s Granite Grille honoring the finalists for Fall River Youth of the Year. Murder, mystery, and intrigue are coming to Atlantis this spring courtesy of the ACS Drama Club. This May, students will take the stage in the club’s production of How to Host a Murder Mystery Dinner Party (in Fifteen Simple Steps). In the play, host Miss Penelope Chrysler-Michelin shares her best party tips, complete with a cast of suspicious characters. But things don’t go as planned when a mysterious stranger shows up on a dark and stormy night. It will be the club’s third production since forming early last year. Lower School Raises Awareness About Social-Emotional Learning  “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.” That was one of several quotes read over the Lower School intercom by a school counselor on Friday, March 8 as the K-6 team participated in SEL Day 2024: Today’s Students, Tomorrow’s Leaders. Medical Academy Students Learn Real-World Career Skills During Bioskills Lab at Cape Cod CPR Seniors, juniors, and sophomores in the Medical Academy got to see first-hand how the human heart and lungs function during a field trip to Cape Cod CPR in South Yarmouth. Medical Academy instructor Jennifer Santos also teaches EMT courses at Cape Cod CPR, so she arranged for her students to travel to the Cape for the day to attend a bioskills lab at the facility.
