A Message From Our Executive Director
Dear Families,
More than thirty years ago, a group of forward-thinking teachers and community leaders imagined a public school that would prepare an educated 21st century citizenry by stripping away what had become stale and ineffective in traditional schooling, by placing students and families first, and by embracing innovation– rather than resisting it–at a pace that matched the rapid change in our society as the new century began.
Today, Atlantis Charter School serves almost 1,300 students in kindergarten through 12th grade from Greater Fall River and the SouthCoast region, and the school has built upon those cornerstones first envisioned by our founders.
At Atlantis, we are judged by the success of our students and families–both in the near- and long-term. We are accountable to our community because we are part of our community. We embrace the responsibility we have as a public school system to be a driving force in community and economic development. What makes our students successful, makes our school successful, which makes our city and our region successful. A rising tide lifts all boats.
The most critical ingredient to our success is our network of students, parents, staff, friends, supporters, and partners. We ask you to take just a few minutes to read these pages and learn about who we are and what we do.
To prospective students and families, we reiterate our commitment to always put you first. Your success is our success. We hope you’ll join us at Atlantis Charter School.
Sincerely,

Robert Beatty
Executive Director
