Dean’s Corner

Winter is the perfect time to gather around the table for a family game night! Playing games is more than just fun; it is a powerful way to promote Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) at home. When children engage in board games or card games, they learn:

  • Valuable Life Skills: Games teach turn-taking, effective communication, and collaborative decision-making.
  • Resilience: Learning how to win and lose gracefully helps build emotional maturity.
  • Stronger Bonds: Spending this focused time together creates positive emotional memories and strengthens family connections.

Healthy Habits & School Rules

  • Please remind students not to play in the snow at school. They will be wet and uncomfortable! Students also risk getting in trouble if they are throwing snow.
  • Definitely encourage your child(ren) to play outside in the snow at home! Building snowmen, igloos, and playing games in the snow encourages creativity and imagination!
  • Please make sure to charge Chromebook each night! It’s important for them to be fully charged so that students can use them throughout the full day of school. Thank you!
