Dear Atlantis Families,
Happy November! This is a wonderful month for reflecting on all the good things in our lives and at our school. We are so proud of how well our students are settling into the school year, demonstrating kindness and dedication every day.
How Are We Building Our Students Stamina to Complete Work Independently?
One of our goals for the year is to help our students build up their stamina and confidence to complete work independently. This means that every day, in most classes, students will be asked to complete a task on their own. This means that students have a chance to show their teachers their understanding of the material that has been covered during classes. Teachers are still available to help, we just want to see what students can do first! This will allow us to better intervene and offer feedback when students do make mistakes! Our goal is to strengthen their ability to work independently!
Celebrating Our Book Parade Success!
We must take a moment to look back and celebrate the spectacular Lower School Book Parade held in October! Seeing all of our K-6 students and staff dress up as their favorite book characters was truly a highlight of the year. The entire event was overflowing with joy and creativity, making reading a fun, community-wide celebration!
A special shout-out and huge THANK YOU to our parents and guardians! Your fabulous attendance and enthusiastic cheers around the Tritons Track made the event even more special for our students. It was wonderful to see so many of you join us to support reading and encourage our young scholars. The fun had by all was truly thanks to the wonderful spirit of our entire ACS family!
Looking Ahead to Thanksgiving
As the month progresses, we look forward to spending time with our loved ones and giving thanks.
