What is STAR testing?
Renaissance Star Assessments are powerful tools used by schools to measure and support your child’s academic progress in reading, math, and early literacy from pre-K through 12th grade. These assessments are computer-adaptive, meaning they adjust in difficulty based on the student’s responses, ensuring accurate and personalized insights.
Key Features of Star Assessments:
- Efficient Testing: Each test takes only about 20 minutes, significantly shorter than traditional assessments.
- Immediate Results: Teachers receive actionable data instantly to identify student strengths, areas for growth, and readiness for new learning.
- Multi-Purpose: Star tests support various educational goals, including screening, progress monitoring, instructional planning, and measuring growth over time.
Benefits for Students and Teachers:
- Tailored Instruction: Educators use the results to design targeted lesson plans that meet each student’s unique needs.
- Growth Tracking: Ongoing testing helps monitor academic progress throughout the year, providing valuable insights for long-term success.
