Medical Academy Students Learn Real-World Career Skills During Bioskills Lab at Cape Cod CPR Seniors, juniors, and sophomores in the Medical Academy got to see first-hand how the human heart and lungs function during a field trip to Cape Cod CPR in South Yarmouth. Medical Academy instructor Jennifer Santos also teaches EMT courses at Cape Cod CPR, so she arranged for her students to travel to the Cape for the day to attend a bioskills lab at the facility. New Video Wall Makes a Bold Statement in Upper School "The kids love seeing their pictures up there," said IT Manager Mike Dauphin, referring to the school's new video wall. Atlantis Internships Give Students Real-World Work Experience, Leading to Future Opportunities “I would like to work in a school district as a pediatric occupational therapist and work with kids with special needs,” said Sarah Moniz, a senior in the Medical Academy. STEM Students Design and Sell Custom 3D-Printed Products at Tritons Print Shop  There is more than just food to buy at lunch these days at Atlantis Charter School. The Upper School cafeteria is now home to the Tritons’ Print Shop. Students in the STEM Academy are busy creating an assortment of custom-designed 3D printed items to sell to students and staff. Atlantis receives 4th Innovation Pathway designation Atlantis received its fourth Innovation Pathway (IP) designation from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) recently approved Atlantis’s application for an Information IP designation for the Arts, Culture and Design Academy. To satisfy DESE’s requirements for an Information IP designation, the Arts, Culture, and Design Academy placed a new emphasis on product design, offering a personalized introduction to the integrated product design process which is based in part off MIT’s Integrated Design Management (IDM) program.
