It is a core belief at Atlantis Charter School that to reach each child’s full potential, we must engage our families by treating them as true partners in their children’s education. That critical relationship between the family, the student, and the school is like a three-legged table. If one leg is missing or broken, the table falls.

Students, Teachers, and Families: Together, We Thrive

At our school, we recognize that education is a shared responsibility.

Success happens when students, teachers, and families actively support one another in fostering a positive, respectful, and engaging learning environment.

Together, we build a strong community where every student can thrive.

I understand that my education is the foundation of my future, and I take responsibility for my success. Therefore, I will:

  • Attend school every day on time, ready to learn, and dressed appropriately.
  • Show respect to my teachers, school staff, classmates, and school property.
  • Complete all assignments on time and put forth my best effort in every class.
  • Take responsibility for my actions and hold myself accountable for my behavior.
  • Communicate with my teachers and ask for help when I need it.
  • Follow all school expectations, including academic, behavioral, and community guidelines.
  • Be a positive role model and contribute to a culture of kindness, inclusion, and perseverance.
I recognize the responsibility I have in shaping my students’ education and fostering a school culture of respect, curiosity, and growth. Therefore, I will:

  • Provide engaging, high-quality instruction that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Set high expectations that encourage students to become independent, lifelong learners.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Communicate regularly with families about student progress, challenges, and successes.
  • Partner with parents and guardians to support learning and positive behavior at home.
  • Encourage students to think critically, problem-solve, and develop a love for learning.
  • Model respect, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions with students, colleagues, and families.

I understand that my involvement in my child’s education is essential for their academic success and personal growth. Therefore, I will:

  • Ensure my child attends school daily, arrives on time, and is prepared to learn.
  • Support my child’s academic progress by providing a structured home environment for learning.
  • Reinforce the school’s expectations, including attendance, homework, behavior, and dress code policies.
  • Maintain open, respectful communication with my child’s teachers and attend meetings when necessary.
  • Stay informed about my child’s progress and school activities.
  • Encourage my child to develop a positive attitude toward education and a strong work ethic.
  • Support school initiatives by volunteering and participating in family engagement opportunities.
