Q: Looking back at your high school experience, what is the most valuable lesson you learned at Atlantis?
A: Attending a new school and playing a part in building the foundation of the high school taught me a valuable lesson. I learned to make the most of every opportunity. Some may think that because we are a new high school, we may not have the same resources of all the other schools, however ACHS has given me plenty of unique opportunities that made for an unforgettable high school experience.
Q: How do you think the Career Academies prepared you for your future?
A: The Teacher Devleopment Academy provided a glimpse into the future and has shown me what my future college classes will be like. It has prepared me for my future as a college student and showed me what I’m destined to be.
Q: What is your favorite Atlantis memory?
A: My favorite memory was the walkthrough, it was bittersweet. I also will always remember the Europe trip. I thought it was a great opportunity and I was lucky to be a part of the first group from Atlantis to travel out of the country. I really enjoyed it. I would definitely do it again and I would definitely recommend it to people in the future.
Q: What advice do you have for the lower classmen?
A: No matter how badly you may want to be done with school, remember you are only in high school one time. Through it all, just remember to be a kid and enjoy it!
Shelby Miranda – Salutatorian

Q: Looking back at your high school experience, what is the most valuable lesson you learned at Atlantis?
A: The most valuable lesson I learned at Atlantis is to appreciate the small things. Thinking of the memories, the people and the knowledge of the past four years truly impacted who I am today, and I am grateful for every experience.
Q: How do you think the Career Academies prepared you for your future?
A: Being in the Business and Entrepreneurship Academy gave me the foundation to build off of as I prepare for my major at Johnson & Wales University. I feel as though I have an edge as I enter my freshman year in my Business Administration major. With the help of adjunct instructor Dr. Ellie Paris-Miranda and the career academy curriculum, I feel ready to conquer my freshman year.
Q: What is your favorite Atlantis memory?
A: My favorite Atlantis memory was our walk-through because we got to see our future generation with high-fives and smiles from the lower school kids. It made everything seem worth it.
Q: What advice do you have for the lower classmen?
A: My advice for the lowerclassmen is to cherish the small memories you make with each other. It goes by so fast. Take pictures of every event and spend as much time together as you can. Memories are the most important thing.
