Faced with additional needs from families and operating costs due the COVID-19 pandemic, Atlantis Charter School is appealing to supporters to help meet those exceptional challenges with a donation to the Atlantis 360 Fund.
“We are hopeful that our supporters will lead the way in helping us sustain our work and execute a safe and successful school year at Atlantis,” said Executive Director Robert Beatty. “We realize many people have been impacted financially by this crisis. For anyone who is able to donate any amount—be it $5, $50, or $500—that support is greatly appreciated.”
First launched in 2018, the Atlantis 360 Fund provides discretionary funds that will support academic programming, technology, the arts, faculty development, and new initiatives throughout the year. It bridges the gap between what the state provides and the true cost of creating an education that is second-to-none.
Atlantis began the school year predominantly remotely with in-person instruction for high-needs students and began expanding in-person learning, first with Kindergarteners, until the latest surge forced the school to pause its in-person programming. Atlantis offers a top-notch remote learning program to all students who are not attending in person.
As the number of COVID cases rises again, Atlantis has redoubled efforts to ensure safety while concentrating on its educational program, ensuring connectivity for all households, and meeting basic needs for those who are experiencing financial hardship due to new unemployment or illness.
“Our Atlantis community has pulled together for the children and families of Fall River,” Beatty said. “We are grateful to be achieving our mission in this new reality and we thank you for your continued investment in our students.”
